You can reorganize your audio by rearranging clips or sections within a project, or by moving and copying clips between projects. Available actions vary depending on your Studio experience.
In WellSaid Studio and Caruso (Legacy) Projects, sections can be copied and recreated within a project.
In Legacy Studio – Standard and Global Projects, clips can be reordered, moved, and copied directly.
Move a Section Within a Project
WellSaid Studio and Caruso (Legacy)
Sections cannot be reordered directly. To move a section:
- Copy the text from the section you want to move.
- Navigate to where you want the content to appear.
- Click + New Section.
- Paste the text and click Generate Take.
- (Optional) Delete the original section.
Note: Deleting a section is permanent and cannot be undone, so ensure you have copied any necessary content before proceeding to prevent accidental data loss.
Reorder Clips Within a Project
Legacy Studio – Standard and Global Projects
Clips can be reordered using drag and drop.
- Open your project.
- Locate the clip you want to move.
- Grab the gripper on the left side of the clip.
- Drag the clip to the desired position.
Move Clips to Another Project
Clips can only be moved between Legacy Studio – Standard and Global Projects
- Select the checkbox next to the clip.
- Click Move in the clip list toolbar.
- Select a destination project.
- Click Move.
Copy Clips to Another Project
Clips can only be copied between Legacy Studio – Standard and Global Projects
- Select the checkbox on the left side of each clip you want to copy.
- Click Copy in the clip list toolbar.
- Select the destination project.
- Click Copy.
