Getting a project started in Studio is simple: add a file or paste a URL, then choose how you want it split into sections before you start voicing and rendering.

Importing a script

1. Create or open a project in Studio.
2. Click Import Script in the top-right corner.
3. Choose one of the following options:
   • Add a file from your computer.
   • For an online-hosted script, paste a URL. Some links may not work if there are permission restrictions.
4. Choose how to split it:
   • For a section per paragraph, select Split by Paragraphs.
   • For a section per sentence, select Split by Sentences.
   • For one continuous script, skip splitting. This keeps your script in a single 5,000-character section.

Your script appears in the Studio Editor, split into sections however you chose. From here, each section works the same as any other — assign a voice, edit the text, and render your audio.

FAQs

Q: Can a zip file be used to upload multiple scripts simultaneously?

A: No, zip files aren't supported. Upload and render one script at a time.

Q: My file won’t upload - what’s wrong?

A: Confirm it's a .txt, .pdf, or .docx file, that it isn't too large, and that it isn't heavily formatted with bold, italic, strikethrough, emojis, or similar. Still stuck? Reach out to Support.

Q: I have a slide show presentation. Can I upload it to Studio?

A: Convert it to a .pdf first, then upload it as usual.

Q: Does the 5k character limit still apply?
