Before you get started
- You'll need a WellSaid Studio project that uses a Caruso voice.
Apply an Emotional Preset
- Select the section you want to edit.
- Open Cues by highlighting the text or clicking the Cues icon in the section toolbar.
- Choose an emotional preset in the right sidebar. The preset applies to the entire section.
- Click Play to render a take.
- Fine-tune pace, pitch, and loudness individually if the tone needs adjustment.
- Render another take if needed.
Note: Emotional Presets apply to the entire section — not individual words or sentences.
Your section now carries the emotional tone you chose, consistently across every word in it.
Remove a preset
- Select the section with the applied preset.
- Open Cues by highlighting the text or clicking the Cues icon.
- Click the Reset icon in the right sidebar.
The preset is removed, and the voice returns to its default behavior.
You can now apply, adjust, and remove Emotional Presets to give any section of your script the exact tone you're going for.
FAQs
Q: Do Emotional Presets work with all WellSaid voices?

Q: Can I apply more than one preset to a section?
