WellSaid is introducing two plans for individuals: Starter and Pro. Business and Enterprise pricing is unchanged. For full plan details and pricing, visit the pricing page.
We are also moving to downloaded minutes as the way usage is measured for these new plans.
Downloads and minutes
What is a downloaded minute?
A downloaded minute is the unit WellSaid now uses to measure usage. Your plan includes a set number of minutes of audio you can download each month. For example, a 3-minute clip counts as 3 downloaded minutes toward your total.
💡 All paid plans continue to include unlimited generation and retakes — these do not count against your downloaded minutes.
I'm on an annual plan. When do my downloaded minutes reset?
Annual plan customers receive their full yearly allocation upfront as a single bucket — for example, 180 minutes/month means 2,160 minutes available immediately for the year.
I'm running low on downloaded minutes. What are my options?
If you're on an annual plan, you can renew early to refresh your allocation. If you're on a monthly plan, switching to annual gives you access to the full year's minutes up front. Add-on minute packs are also planned for a future release. Contact Support if you need additional minutes in the interim.
I'm on a Business or Enterprise plan and I see downloads, not downloaded minutes. Is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong. Existing Business and Enterprise customers remain on downloads for the duration of their current contracts. Downloaded minutes apply to new Business and Enterprise customers. If new users join your account, they'll be onboarded to downloads to match your existing setup.

How do I upgrade from Starter to Pro?
You can upgrade to a higher-tier plan at any time through Account Settings > Overview.
How do I move from Pro back to Starter plan?
To switch to Starter or Pro, cancel your current subscription and re-subscribe using the same email address. Your projects and clips are preserved and will be waiting for you when you log back in.
I'm on a plan that is no longer listed for purchase.
Your existing plan will continue to be available. We will be reaching out shortly about upgrades to older plans.
